Introducing Cakewalk Events: Kansas City’s Latest and Greatest Provider of All-Inclusive Wedding Packages!

The new year brings exciting news!

For over six years The Vow Exchange has been a one stop shop for Kansas City couples who want to tie the knot in a special way without breaking the bank. We have been blessed in building the best wedding service provider team in the city and have been honored to offer their services at our all-in-one fully decorated venues. We are so proud to announce that starting in January 2020, we have invited our friend and long time colleague, Cakewalk Events, to take over offering and facilitating the wedding service packages offered at our beautiful venues! This will allow The Vow Exchange to continue focusing on providing picture perfect wedding venues for couples in the Midwest!

So what’s changing?

Honestly, not much! Couples will still have the all-in-one experience in booking, planning and paying for their intimate weddings with us, but will have a few more options to do so. We are thrilled to invite Cakewalk Events to work with our trusted team of coordinators, officiants, florists, photographers, bakers & caterers. This means the same friendly faces who have been behind every Vow Exchange wedding will continue providing their amazing talents and services at our venues.

Who is Cakewalk?

The Vow Exchange owner, Kathryn Hogan, first brought on Cakewalk Events owner, Amy Rizzo, as The Vow Exchange Event Manager in 2014. The two have been working hand in hand to execute our flawless intimate weddings ever since. Now that Cakewalk Events will be offering their very own wedding packages at our beautiful venues, we thought you should get to know them a little better! So you can really get to know the lovely Amy and her badass business, Cakewalk, we’re gonna let her introduce herself in her own words!

With a cumulative 25 years of catering, wedding and event planning experience, Cakewalk Events is here to make your wedding day and reception, fun, easy and stress-free!

After graduating from The Kansas City Art Institute, I began work at Catering By Design in 1995, cooking up dinners and managing the logistics for weddings for 15 glorious years. In 2012, I opened Cakewalk Events and went about planning and catering larger scale weddings until I crossed paths with the owner and mastermind of The Vow Exchange, Kathryn Hogan.

In 2014, Kathryn invited me to work with her, so I stepped away from the world of the “monster wedding” and teamed up with The Vow Exchange Events. Together, Kathryn and I created a collection of all-inclusive ceremony and reception packages that make planning your wedding SO easy and enjoying it even easier!

As The Vow Exchange expands its horizons, Cakewalk Events will now be your direct source for all-inclusive wedding and reception packages at the two spectacular Vow Exchange venues. We bring to you a wealth of experience executing all-inclusive ceremonies and receptions in the Vow Exchange venues. Our team is professional, warm and super-talented.
