Flowers, Photos & More!

Last but not least! In this section we will answer your questions about:

Flowers - Photography - Guest Book, Gifts & Cards - Drink Service & Food
Pets - Tossables (Confetti, Petals) - Decorations

Flowers

For the Barn & Farmhouse packages, we offer a complimentary Heirloom bridal bouquet and coordinating groom boutonniere. This floral set is a one of a kind creation made from local and seasonal flowers and comes with a vintage blue handkerchief. Each one is different and unique. Unfortunately, we do not allow customization or color/flower requests with these packages. If you wish, you may bring your own bouquet in lieu of the complimentary Heirloom bouquet included in the package.

Photography

If you have a package that includes photography, (Farmhouse, Prairie House or Homestead) this is how it will work!

When you arrive at The Vow Exchange, your photographer will be there ready to go! As you get ready and and your guests find their places, your photographer will take an assortment of shots of the bride, groom, wedding party, family, friends, event space and other special details. There is no need to provide a list of shots, unless there is something unusual you would like your photographer to capture. She will photograph the entire wedding ceremony, as well as family, wedding party and couple only shots after the conclusion of your ceremony. The amount of post ceremony shots is dependent on the amount of time your package includes.

One month after your event, you will receive an email with a link to your photo gallery from which you can review and select your images.

Guest Book, Gifts & Cards

We welcome our couples to set up a guest book on our central table at the entrance, although most will reserve this feature as well as a gift & card table at their post ceremony celebration.

Drink Service & Food

For packages including a drink service, your host will serve a family friendly beverage (such as lemonade or a warm spiced tea) to your guests upon arrival. We do not provide alcoholic beverages, but you are welcome to bring your own. Couples choosing to bring their own beverage will also need to supply disposable drink/stem ware. Your host will be happy to assist in serving your beverage.

To ensure we are able to return the venue to its original state for other events on the same day, we do not allow food in the Vow Exchange; even for the little ones.

Pets

Although we are big pet lovers at The Vow Exchange, our building has a no pets policy, mainly due to insurance reasons.

Tossables (Confetti, Petals, etc.)

We agree the tradition of showering the Bride and Groom with a toss of merriment is a great way to celebrate, however we do not allow these items in The Vow Exchange. We do offer complimentary expression flags for guests to wave away. With a “WOO HOO!” or an “YAY!”, we promise your big moment won’t be unceremonious.

For the flower girls, we recommend a hand held pomander or a "Here Comes the Bride" sign to carry instead.

Decorations and Customization

To ensure we are able to return the venue to its original state for other events held on the same day, we do not support requests to add additional decor to The Vow Exchange Salon. We will update the entrance chalkboard with your names and the banner with your initials to give your event decor a hint of personalization.
