COVID SERVICE UPDATES

Wow, what a year it has been so far. We are so grateful for the many wonderful couples who have selected Cakewalk services for their wedding celebration. Since we want you and yours to have a SAFE and enjoyable experience, we have a few updates for your group in respect to mask and social distancing guidelines. For couples who have cake & reception packages, we also have some modifications to our drink and cake packaging and presentation that we wanted you to be aware of. Take a look at these updates below!

CEREMONY:
Participants in the ceremony will not be required to wear a face mask during the ceremony so long as they remain 6ft away from each other, the officiant, and guests during the ceremony (Both venues we work with have configured their space to allow this). Additionally, in order to maintain social distancing guidelines, we are allowing only 2 wedding party participants standing with the couple (one on each side).

PHOTOGRAPHY (for Deluxe packages):
Many folks are wondering how the mask requirements will affect photos. Both venues we work with have marked the venue to create 6 “Food, Beverage & Photo Areas” which allow 6-8 guests in each area to safely take “mask free” party pics while staying distanced from others in your group. Additionally, the couple & their group may take mask free formal portraits with their photographer anywhere in the venue they would like so long as others not in the photos remain 6ft away. Also, keep in mind that you are welcome to take maskless photos outside of the venue. There are lots of cute spots around both venues outside that are great for those kinds of pictures. (See an adorable example in our gallery above!) We know it's not ideal, but we have had great results and many lovely photo galleries taken, even with the current restrictions!

DRINKS & CHAMPAGNE:
We will now be serving individual bottles of champagne, soda, and water rather than using dispensers, flutes, and open glasses. There will be a wide variety of soda and water flavors so there should be something for everyone! The champagne will also be served in miniature bottles so each guest can have their own.

CAKE:
Your cake will still include a small anniversary tier for you both to cut for your cake ceremony and to take home. You can choose between two designs and two frosting colors! The rest of your cake will be served as 50 full-size cupcakes in two flavors. We individually box each cupcake in cute little window boxes.

RECEPTION BUFFETS:
Due to restrictions on open food, we are now serving the buffet items as individually boxed meals for the reception. Our normal bamboo forks will be packaged as individual napkin and fork roll-ups for the most sanitary and biodegradable option. You will still have the same choices of protein and it will be served in individual boxes. To complete your meal you will get three sides, also served in individual containers. The options to choose from are below:

- Fresh Fruit Salad
- Hummus with Toasted Flatbread
- Artichoke Dip with Pitas
- Baked Beans with Brisket
- Cheesy Corn with Ham
- Twice Baked Potato Salad
- Mixed Olives and Feta Salad
- Greek Feta and Orzo Salad
- Pasta Salad

SOCIAL DISTANCING & MASKS:
We do want to take a moment to point out that the venues we work with have mask requirements and designated “Food, Drink & Photo Areas” to keep you, your guests and vendors (AKA “us”) safe. In the event that your group fails to obey these guidelines, your service providers will remain 6 feet from you and your guests during our services. This failure may also result in a less present team during your event in order to maintain their safety.
